These are the U.S version of the Toyota Prius Mud Guards. With the consumer in mind, Toyota created a Splash Guards that blend into the design of the Prius, and still be extremely functional. The U.S Splash Guards are smaller profile look than the popular European Mud Flaps and are very appealing. Though they do not protrude as much or sit as high on the wheel wells they provide good protection while maintaining a sleek look.
